This workshop will guide you through how to prepare for meaningful and effective conversations at networking events. You'll learn what to do before, during, and after an event - from introducing yourself and asking practical questions to following up with employers and maintaining connections.

Industry events for accounting and finance students
July 29, 5-6pm
Are you a post-secondary student interested in becoming a CPA after you graduate? This session will cover the CPA program in detail and include an open Q&A with CPABC's Student Recruitment Officer. This session will be tailored to post-secondary students interested in becoming a CPA, and is open to students from any university of college program.
August 7, 12-1pm
In one hour, all aspects of the CPA program will be covered in detail, including admission requirements, prerequisites, examinations and program structure. The presentation will conclude with an open question and answer period with a CPABC staff member.
August 14, 5:30-6:30pm
Come learn who you are as a person, including how your values and purpose can be articulated to convey your authentic personal and professional selves. The session will be led by with diverse work backgrounds who have successfully reinvented themselves as certified coaches. Success is just on the other side of the glass door. Set yourself up for career and life success as CPAs.
August 18, 5-6pm
The CPA Way webinar series offers an inside look at CPAs in action - showcasing not just what they do, but where and how they work. Each session features CPAs from diverse industries sharing their career journeys, roles, and impact. Through candid conversations, you'll discover why they chose the CPA path, how they earned the designation, and what it's like to work in various sectors. It's a window into the CPA profession to help you envision your own future.
August 19, 5-6pm
Join us for an online general Q&A session with CPABC Recruitment staff. In this interactive event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the admission requirements of the CPA program, how to apply, and any additional questions you may have about the program. This event is suitable for persons who have already attended a CPABC Information Session.
Talent Boost Tuesdays is a mini-series of virtual events hosted by KPMG throughout July and August. Each event features a speaker who will present on different topics to help you navigate the recruiting season and set yourself apart.

- CPAEF bursaries and scholarships
Every year CPAEF offers a bursary program to BC students based on financial need with two deadlines to apply each year: May 15 and November 15. Scholarships are also available to students attending one of eleven BC post-secondary institutions that do not have named awards: applications are due May 1.
