Writing Centre & Learning Skills

We provide supports to help you become a successful student. Get assistance with your coursework or meet with a learning skills specialist to help with time management, preparing for exams and more.

Writing Centre

Learn effective  and gain valuable skills to help with your coursework. We provide feedback to help you learn strategies to strengthen your skills in the following areas:

  • Writing: brainstorming, outlining, development of ideas, revision, grammar, punctuation, etc.
  • Oral communication: presentations, pronunciation, etc.
  • Reading: reading for the main idea, summarizing, skimming, scanning, analyzing/critiquing a text, etc.
  • Digital/multimodal assignments

Flexible options

  • Meet face-to-face with a tutor on a specific campus.

  • Meet online through video chat with a tutor. 

  • Request written feedback emailed to you the same day from a tutor. This is recommended if you can't make specific appointment times.

Cancellation policy: You must cancel or reschedule at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment by using the same online booking system you used to make the appointment. If you don鈥檛 cancel or reschedule your appointment, it is considered a no-show. After two no-shows, you will be locked out of the booking system and will have to contact us before you can make another appointment.
